Borough will return refreshed after a week’s rest when they entertain Leicester Vipers in East Midlands Division Two South at Fengate on Saturday (3pm).
It will be a confident squad that take to the field after an encouraging home win against Olney last time out, a match where Borough looked much improved from previous performances.
“Going forward we looked much better,” said coach Lee Adamson. “Our backs looked much slicker and made some decisive breaks that led to tries at regular intervals. In fact if we can tighten up our defence then we are a side that is capable of creating chances from all over the field.
“However we only just defeated Vipers earlier in the season , and they are scrapping for every available point.”
Borough will pick from a near full-strength squad with only Adam Kimber likely to be missing with concussion.
Borough seconds kept their long winning run going on Saturday with a 38-19 win at Northampton BBOB.
Tom McClure scored a hat-trick of tries and there were also touchdowns by Jack Trolove, Bruce Morley and Perry Whincup.
The game saw a welcome return for Matt Amos, Jamie Hayes and Aaron Forest and they all performed well.
Outstanding for Borough were Andy Barringer and Cameron Grey, but man-of-the-match was 18 year-old Will Beal, who commanded the show at scrum-half.
