Rayment rules for Ramsey

Jay Lake over at Rookery Waters Pidley has not been on top form of late, but Ramsey AS anglers did find plenty of small fish to produce a respectable weight.

A good turnout saw Andrew Rayment out in front from peg 11. He caught on the long pole fishing tight over to weigh in 85lb 5oz.

Andrew Kilby came in second on peg 44, catching all his fish alternating between the far side and margins with meat and maggot over groundbait.

COCK INN

Chris Shortland may have switched clubs but you still can’t keep him off the top spot as he is proving to be a real handful in the Cock Inn matches these days.

He topped the field on the Kingfisher Lake down at Float Fish Farm Fishery at the weekend and is now clear at the top of the summer league. He caught on a small feeder fished over to the island weighing in 39lb.

Second was Steve Smith with 17lb 10oz, then came Dave Overend on 11lb 1oz.

HADDON LODGE

Winner of the Haddon Lodge open match was George Bates with 30lb 4oz of skimmers and carp. Not far behind was Tony Moulds with 25lb 15oz then came Lucio Melillo with 17lb 10oz.
