Peterborough Triathlon Club (PACTRAC) stage their first open event for 28 years on Sunday (April 26).
The PACTRAC Peterborough Duathlon takes place in and around Castor where competitors face a four-mile run, an 18-mile bike ride and then another 2.5-mile run. The race starts at 9am and entries close on Friday (April 24).
PACTRAC are 30 years old this year, and this is the first open event they have promoted since the triathlon from the Regional Pool in 1987. Laurie Miles, who organised that race, will be there on Sunday to start the race.

PACTRAC had 15 members racing at the recent Duston Triathlon.
Olivia Corner won the Tristar 1 Girls event despite having a thorn in her foot while Katie Tasker won the Tristar 2 event outright, male and female, demolishing the field with a breathtaking bike ride.

Hugo Brill in his first ever event came eighth in his class and Olivia Corner did well to finish as third girl in her race despite having technical difficulties on the bike.

Christina Cork raced in the NCRA road race from Southwick and was very pleased to come home second lady.
Nigel French finished 38th out of a field of 600 in the six-mile Insane Terrain Adventure Race at Grange Farm, Wansford.
Joanne Annis competed in the Desford Sprint Triathlon (swim 400m, bike 11.25 miles, run 3 miles) and was 78 the overall and third in her age group in 74:37.
Tony Moran competed in the Skipton Triathlon (swim 400m, bike 12.5 miles, run 3 miles) and was 121st in 01:33:55.
