Oundle aiming for game set and match in European Championship Finals in La Manga
Players from Oundle Town Lawn Tennis Club are preparing to pit their wits against the cream of Europe's amateurs after qualifying for the European Senior Tennis Club Championships at Spain's world-famous La Manga Club.
The event runs from September 9-22 and Oundle will face opposition from Leicester Forest East as well as opponents from Belgium, Austria, Germany, Russia, France and the Netherlands on clay courts in the men’s 45 and over event.
Oundle’s line-up is Alan Jordan (captain), Pietor Van Hauten, Andrew Moragham, Nick Boys, David Mills, Scott Martin and Andrew Cresswell
The event will feature men and women from its 50 tennis federations competing at the resort’s extensive 28-court academy for titles in 10 different age categories.
