The city club’s Premiership and Premiership Supporters’ Cup fixtures were confirmed this morning.

The campaign kicks off with a 50th anniversary meeting at the East of England Arena on Sunday, March 15 and the first competitive action is four days later when A47 rivals King’s Lynn visit Alwalton for a cup tie.

The Norfolk side are also the first league opponents on Monday, April 13 – a month in which Panthers are scheduled to race eight times in total.

Club owner Keith Chapman said: “It’s a busy March and April for the boys but it means they can really get stuck into their racing.

“We feel sure it is going to be an exciting season and we are determined to put on the best entertainment package we possibly can.”

Now all Panthers need is a team. They still only have four confirmed riders – Hans Andersen, Chris Harris, Michael Palm Toft and Bradley-Wilson – in place for 2020.

Team boss Carl Johnson recently confirmed to the Peterborough Telegraph that the club are keen to bring in locally-based GP star Niels Kristian Iversen as number one.

Australian rider Rohan Tungate and fans’ favourite Ulrich Ostergaard have also been widely linked with team places.
