The 21 year old, who competes in the F12 category for visually impaired athletes, will build on the experience she gained when finishing seventh in the 2019 World Para Athletics Championship in Dubai.

Church has been ranked Britain’s number one F12 shot putter for four years, and is ranked 17th in the overall national rankings after recently throwing a personal best (PB) of 12.62m.

“I am over the moon,” Church said. “I took the decision last year to move universities, I’m now based at Loughborough with my coach Jim Edwards, and I train six days a week.

“I’m funded by the British Athletics World Class Programme and this really helps to support me with vital physiotherapy. I am working hard and look forward to competing against Europe’s best.”
