Borough chairman Alistair Bennett said: “Whilst the postponement of competitive senior league rugby for all community clubs is certainly not what we would have wished for, we remain extremely positive as a club of coming out the other side of the pandemic in good shape.

“We have some fantastic sponsors and our large membership in all sections of the club have been fantastic.

“Many volunteers have come forward to allow us to run the facility as efficiently as possible and numbers at training have been unbelievable. Our improved facilities up until the current lockdown had been in use every day and night, and in particular our age grade sections under current restrictions, have held training and tournaments.

“We will come back in an extremely healthy position and aim to reward our loyal membership when we are able to do so. Be guaranteed there will be a big party!

“The management would like to publicly thank all our membership for their help and understanding, and any new sponsors keen to support community rugby are most welcome!”
