Elie slid through the slush to win the Oundle 10k and local race round-up

Ellie Piccaver slid her way through the slush to win the ladies race at the Oundle 10k.

​The Yaxley runner wasn't the only successful athlete from the club with Min Migliorini finishing 16th and first over 55 with a 39:42 clocking. Joe Bennett, also of Yaxley finished 10 seconds further back in 17th.

Bushfield Paul Baxter placed 32nd and 2nd over 60 in a time of 43:24 with Laura Fountain of Bushfield 4th lady with a 47:09 clocking.

Steve Allpress & Eric Winstone, both also representing Bushfield, settled for the shorter 5k distance. Allpress finished 10th in 22:56 while Winstone clocked 27:09 to take the over 70 prize.

Peterborough & Nene Valley AC’s Dan Lewis finished 22nd in the Buntingford 10 mile road race.

The event incorporated the British Masters 10-mile championship and Lewis’s time of 58:18 saw him finish as second over 45 in the Eastern masters race and 4th over 45 British master.

Elisabeth Sennitt Clough took the ladies over 50 honours at the Marham Flyers 10k on New Year’s Eve. The PANVAC athlete clocked a time of 43:44.

Paul Halford of Werrington ran a time of 36:38 which placed him 14th in the Ely New Year's Eve 10k. Halford finished as first over 50.

Helpston’s James Berry crossed the line 34th with a time of 38:36. Hannah Berry who also runs for Helpston finished two seconds further back and took 3rd place in the senior ladies race.

PANVAC father & son Simon & Issac Fell, ran the Battersea Park floodlit five mile race with Isaac narrowly taking the family bragging rights. Isaac placed 88th in a time of 27:13 with father Simon just one second and two places further back. Fell senior had the consolation of being the first over 45 to finish.
