The Parkway bowler, who has now collected seven titles in the past two years, retained both the pairs, with her mother Val, and the two-bowl singles and ended the day by winning the mixed triples, again with her mother, and substitute Peter Brown, standing in for Sarah’s father Jeff who was forced to withdraw after the trial ends with a back problem.

Apart from Val Newson, there were also title doubles for Parkway pair Neil Wright and Simon Law, Sheila Craig (Conservative), Stephen Harris (Blackstones) and the Ketton trio of Carol Warters, Shirley Suffling and Chris Ford, who won both the women’s triples.
