NETBALL: Oundle School player capped for England

She was in the England Under 17 team that took part in the Netball Europe Championships in Belfast and she featured in big wins against Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland which saw England crowned European Champions.

Sienna commented: “Netball Europe was most certainly an experience I’m not going to forget and was shared with some of the most amazing girls.

“The matches were a whole new experience and very lively with the crowd!

“The training we put in over the last year really showed through and I hope that this opportunity will lead to bigger things in the future.”

Sienna‘s netball career outside of school is with her local club Turnford. She plays for their senior squad in Division One of the England Premier League.

Sienna has also for the East Midlands Regional Performance Squad and Netball Super League team Wasps at Under 21 level.

Head of Netball, Bev Burnham, said: “Sienna is a fantastic role model to young netball players both in and out of school. She has a positive work ethic which she should be proud of.”
