After his two race wins in the opening round at Brands Hatch, Barnes again hit a winning note in round two at the picturesque circuit of Anglesey.

After qualifying in pole position for the 30-minute race on Saturday, Barnes was leading by a couple of seconds when the heavens opened and his dry set-up was compromised.

He eventually finished second behind Daniel Bremner but took the fastest lap.

Race two on Sunday saw a damp and greasy track to start with and Barnes starting in second place on the grid.

A great start saw him lead by the first corner and then hold that lead for eight laps.

From then on Barnes and Bremner traded places until eventually Barnes outfoxed his rival on the final corner to win by one tenth of a second despite losing a nose cone.

The next round will be in Zolder, Belgium in the first week of June.
