Peterborough Lions Rugby Club are hosting a tug of war tournament as part of their President’s Day on Saturday August 29.
The tournament, which if successful will become an annual event, is open to all teams with the first pull scheduled for 10am.
Club chairman Andy Moore said: “Years ago tug of war used to be hugely popular in these parts but we don’t have a tournament in this area any more.
“Hopefully we can get it off the ground again. It should be great fun.”
