Peterborough speedster Dmitrij Sribnyj rounded off another superb year of Gymkhana Grid Racing when taking the European crown for a fourth year running at Santapod Raceway at the weekend.
The 35 year-old export manager from Walton, who won the British Barrel Sprint Championship the previous weekend, was once again too quick for his rivals in his Subaru Impreza prepared by Scoobyclinic.
And as European champion Sribnyj got to challenge world number one Ken Block from America in a grand final and he won that as well.
“To go against Ken Block, Mr Gymkhana himself, in his 845bhp Mustang Hoonicorn was a massive pleasure and honour and to beat him . . . well that was unbelievable,” said Sribnyj.
“It was absolutely epic - a happy end to a great weekend slaying rubber together with the man who has ignited the spark , the spark which we call Gymkhana Grid.”
