Chatteris cueman Joe Perry opens his World Masters campaign with a first round match against fellow Englishman Barry Hawkins tomorrow (January 11, 7pm).

Hawkins, from Kent, is world ranked number eight, two places higher than Perry. The event is open to the top 16 players in the world.

Perry, who has own over £350,000 in his career, has an awful record in the Masters winning just one match and that arrived last season when he beat China’s Ding Junhui.
