PACTRAC star Antony Brown has added more titles to his glittering array of honours.
Brown claimed gold in the British Sprint Championships and the English Sprint Championships on successive weekends in his 55-59 year-old age group.
Brown won the English title during the Beaver Triathlons at Belvoir Castle, Grantham when three distances were on offer, a Half Ironman distance, a standard distance and a sprint distance, with the latter combining as a national title event.
Five Pactrac members chose to take part in the shorter race.
Brown won gold, while Dave Allsop claimed a bronze medal in the 45-49 year-old age group.

Paul Vernon won the Huntingdon Park Run in a new course record and personal best time of 16.20. Vernon won the race by 2.25 minutes.
Five PACTRAC performers took part in the Barcelona Half Ironman, an event that attracts some of the finest participants in the world.
Paul Lunn, Roger Canham, Dave Thorrold, Robin Brookes and Jimmy Robinson were the local men involved in a field in excess of 2,000 entrants. They all took on a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile cycle and a 12.5 mile run.
Canham finished sixth in the 50-54 age group in 5.00.54 (33.13, 3.00.20, 1.27.21), Thorold was 53rd in the 45-49 age group in 5.25.59 (38.33, 3.02.08, 1.45.18), Lunn was 14th in the 40-44 age group in 4.48.53 (32.38, 2.44.25, 1.31.50) and Robinson was 38th in the same section in 5.10.21 (33.47, 2.56.38, 1.39.56).
Brookes failed to finish.
Next Wednesday (May 27, 7.30pm) sees the first of this year’s Mini-Series Triathlons at Oundle. It’s the only novice race (for people involved in the sport for under a year) in the series.
It’s a 400m swim, 10 mile bike and 3.5 mile run. Registration is on the night from 6.45pm.
