Peterborough marial artist Lianne Jones was crowned a British kick-boxing champion at the weekend (May 8/9).

The chief instructor at the city’s J.A.M.A kick-boxing club fought in the WMKF British Championships in Mansfield and despite competing in a weight category 10kg above her weight she still emerged victorious.

She won the Ladies Under 60kg Semi-Contact category and successfully qualified for the WMKF England Team to fight at the World Championships in Malta later this year.

Jones is a multiple world champion and this was her third British Championship win of the year.

Anyone interested in taking up kick-boxing should visit or call Lianne on 07479564918 for more information. The first lesson is always free.
