Members of the Hicks Karate School were in good form in the first round of the 2015 Peterborough Championship Series at Werrington Sports Centre at the weekend.
The series is the biggest open martial arts tournament in East Anglia and it also counted as a World Martial Arts Games qualifying event.
Twenty-one Hicks Karate School members made iy through to the next round of qualifying for the WMAC Great Britain team competing at the World Martial Arts Games in Norwich later in the year.
Chief instructor Andrew Hicks said: “I’m really pleased with all members of my team who stepped onto the mats to take part.
“They achieved a great set of results, proving all the hard work does pay off.
“We are looking forward to the next tournament in the series in June.”
