Peterborough City Rowing Club’s Camilla Plumb was a winner at the 2015 Pairs Head of the River event in London at the weekend.

She joined forces with Deben’s Katy Wilkinson-Feller in the Women’s IM1 doubles and they saw off strong competition from the Army, Ironbridge, Derby and the local Tideway Scullers crews to win their category.

Camilla’s brother James joined forces with Dan Boyle in the Senior double sculls and expectations for the Peterborough pair were low seeing as Boyle had only just returned from injury and they were in a boat configured for lighter scullers.

But against all the odds they finished second behind a Rob Roy crew and were the fastest Peterborough double of the day.

In the Masters E double sculls, Graham Barks and Jack Ward came fifth from the 14 crews while Michael Marshall and Steve Hodge finished 10th in what was Marshall’s return from injury and his first attempt at steering on the Thames.
