Peterborough Triathlon Club (PACTRAC) member Kim Bell has competed twice for Britain in triathlons abroad in the last fortnight.
She finished eighth in an event in Egypt, competing as a member of the British Triathlon Federation Elite Squad for the first time.
She clocked 2:16:31 for the 1500m sea swim, 25-mile bike ride and 6.25-mile run in Hurghada.
One week later she was in action in the European Cup in Quarteira, Portugal, again over the standard distance.
Here she was unlucky to suffer a buckled wheel on her bike and finished 35th in 2:20:22.
PACTRAC’s Nathan Tweedie was also competing in Portugal for the GB junior squad and he was 24th in the men’s junior race over the sprint distance (swim 750m, bike 12.5 miles, run 3 miles). His time was 57:45.
Jim Fell qualified for next year’s European Duathlon Championships after finishing ninth in his age group at the Clumber Park Duathlon.
