Brilliant Ben Fisher was the undoubted star of the 2015 Virgin Active Tennis Club Championships winning a hat-trick of titles without dropping a set.
Fisher started with a convincing 6-0, 6-2 win over Giuseppe Giuliano in the men’s singles final.
He then retained the men’s doubles title in partnership with Pawel Podlinski beating Steve Myers and illness-hit Ashley Martin 6-4, 6-1.
Fisher then made it a clean sweep in tandem with Lisa McDonough as they retained the mixed double title with a 6-4, 6-1 triumph over Goran Zivotic and Lucy Li.
Lauren McMahon, who was playing in the Club Championships for the first time, made a winning start at the Thorpe Wood club as she clinched the ladies’ singles title with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Tina Furlong.
Finally, in what was the most competitive final of the day, Judy Dallas and Lucy Li shared the first two sets in the ladies doubles decider with Lisa McDonough and Jenny Rice 6-2, 5-7 before clinching a third set champions’ tie-break 10-5 to secure the title.
