Proud coach Slava Koulikov insists Phantoms won’t let their high standards slip.
The city team are setting the English Premier League pace alongside Milton Keynes after a super start to the campaign.
They have lost only once in regulation time in their 10 games to date and have dropped just four points out of a possible 20.
Koulikov said: “We are on top of the world with the way things are going, but we also know there is a lot of hard work ahead.
“The challenge now is to carry on producing the right sort of performances to keep the results coming.
“That means we have to continue the hard work that we have been putting in since we first got back on the ice after the summer.”
Phantoms take on two struggling teams this weekend as a Saturday trip to Sheffield (7.30pm) is followed by the visit of troubled champions Telford on Sunday (5.30pm).
Koulikov has been appointed as assistant coach to the Great Britain Under 20 team.
