Phantoms coach Slava Koulikov has added his father to his coaching staff for a second time.
Oleksandr Kulikov – known as Alex - was seen as an instrumental figure in the city club’s English Premier League play-offs triumph after arriving early last season.
Now, after leaving a coaching position in Hungary, he has returned to work alongside his son and fellow coach Lee Elias on an advisory basis.
Koulikov said: “We’re very pleased my father has returned to give us an extra boost in what has been a great season so far.
“No team is ever perfect even when things are going well and his advice will valuable as we move forward.
“Another set of critical eyes and the ability to make minor adjustments can mean a big difference over the course of a long season.”
Kulikov Senior was present when the Phantoms squad trained on Tuesday night and will be on the bench for their EPL trip to Bracknell tonight (Thursday).
The 60 year-old is a vastly-experienced coach who has previously guided the Ukraine national team to World Championship glory.
He has also coached extensively at club level and twice guided teams to the top-flight title in that country.
