A pipe leak forced the postponement of an important Peterborough Phantoms game tonight (December 3).
The table-topping city team were scheduled to face London Raiders in NIHL Division One South.
But the fault at the Raiders’ base at Lee Valley led to the game being called off around an hour and a quarter before the 5.30pm start time.
Phantoms could see their lead at the summit cut to three points tonight with second-placed Basingstoke and third-placed Bracknell both in action.
Phantoms’ next outing in the league is a home date against London at Planet Ice on Sunday (December 10, 5.30pm).
Before then they go to Basingstoke on Saturday (December 9, 6.30pm) for their final NIHL Autumn Cup group game. Both teams are already through to the semi-finals.
