City of Peterborough believe they took a significant step forward by despatching bogey side Dereham 4-0 in an East Premier A Division game at Bretton Gate on Saturday (February 7).
Dereham collected four points off City last season and earlier in the current campaign they battled back from 2-0 down to force a 3-3 draw.
City improved on their last outing two weeks previously to rattle in four second-half goals that were shared by Ben Read and Nathan Foad, but defender Neil Evans was named man-of-the-match.
Dereham took their frustrations out on Wisbech the following day (February 8) by thrashing them 9-0. Wisbech, who have lost all 16 of their top flight matches, also lost 9-0 to Bedford on Saturday.
City, who are sixth, travelto fourth-placed Harleston thos weekend (February 14).
