Hampton help to encourage juniors

Hampton Angling Association held a '˜Learn to Fish' day for under 16 year-olds at the weekend in association with Building Bridges and the Angling Trust.

The club use the lakes at Hampton and 54 children attended with every one of them catching fish.

Most of the children that had never fished before went home very happy after catching up to 80 fish between them.

It turned out to be a very successful day for all concerned and I know organiser Nathan Minter has plans for another open day in the not too distant future.

Shelton’s Fishing Tackle supported the event by providing a vast array of prizes.
