YOUTH FOOTBALL: Star beat title rivals Bourne in League Cup final

Peterborough Northern Star won the battle of the big guns in the Peterborough Youth League Under 18 KO Cup final at the weekend.

The city side overcame Division One title rivals Bourne Town Black 2-1 in the decider at Chestnut Avenue thanks to goals by Joseph Kelly and Ian King.

Ian Goode scored for Bourne and all the goals came in the first half.

The two sides are level-pegging at the top of Division One, although Bourne have a game in hand.
