Ton-up Cassie’s remarkable scoring record for Peterborough Northern Star Ladies

A week after celebrating her 100th goal for Peterborough Northern Star Ladies, Cassie Steward made it a remarkable 102 goals in 109 appearances for the club during a 4-1 Eastern Region Premier Division win over Bowers & Pitsea at the Branch Bros Stadium on Sunday (September 27).

Jess Driscoll scored twice, including a penalty, with Katie Steward also on target as Star moved up to fifth place in the fledgling table..

Star have a big game at home to Southend United in the first qualifying round of the Women’s FA Cup next Sunday (October 4, 2pm).

Netherton United are also in FA Cup action on Sunday when they host Leigh Ramblers at the Grange (2pm).

The city side are in terrific form as they followed a 10-0 FA Cup win over Desborough with a 6-0 win over Cambridge City in their opening Premier Division fixture of the Cambs Womens League season.

Emily Johnson bagged a hat-trick with Katie Barber, Yasmin Green and Lauren Laws also netting.

Whittlesey Athletic were held to a 3-3 draw by Fulbourne with Annie Posnett (2) and Jessica Farchica scoring their goals.
