Who on earth decides the FIFA world rankings?
Harry Secombe? Tom Jones? Catherine Zeta-Jones?
It must be some-one with some Welsh leanings. Wales can’t be 10th in the world in the eyes of anyone with a passing knowledge of football.
I know we are dealing with one of the most untrustworthy organisations in the history of the world, but Wales are nowhere near a top-10 team. Even with Gareth Bale.
In fact Bale might be the 10th-best player in the world so that’s where the confusion must have come from.
Mind you Colombia are apparently the fourth best team in the world with Romania laughably ranked at eight, two teams England (ranked nine), even under Roy Hodgson, would fancy beating.
Hodgson must be loving life. After surviving a botched 2014 World Cup he landed easy qualification groups for the next two major tournaments.
England will hammer Scotland on the way to Russia 2018.
