The money is intended to help them cover the costs of adjustments that need to be made to safely cater for the return of players and supporters to their grounds.

The Matchday Support Fund is being delivered by the Football Stadia Improvement Fund (FSIF) - the grant-giving body that provides Premier League funding to support ground improvements for clubs in the professional, women’s and non-league games.

North West Cambridgeshire MP Shailesh Vara said: “This Is excellent news and will be welcomed by players and supporters alike. In these unprecedented times extra measures need to be put in place and this funding will help to make the necessary changes allowing all concerned to safely return to their grounds.”
