Peterborough United striker Emile Sinclair looks set to miss the start of the Championship season.
It has emerged Sinclair underwent a ‘small operation’ earlier this summer to cure an ankle injury sustained in a fixture against Nottingham Forest back in April.
The 24 year-old striker also missed the club’s pre-season training camp in Portugal while on paternity leave.
Posh boss Darren Ferguson said: “Emile has been injured for a while now.
“He has been in for a small op and is another month away from being ready.”
Sinclair scored 10 goals last season after arriving from League Two side Macclesfield Town in August.
