Peterborough United have been drawn away to Premier League side Sunderland in the third round of the Capital One Cup.

Posh will travel to the Stadium of Light to face Paolo Di Canio’s side in the week commencing 23 September.

And manager Darren Ferguson, whose side have slammed in 11 goals in the process of beating Colchester and Reading in the previous two rounds, insists a shock is not out of the question.

Ferguson said: “We will be facing a Premier League club, but if we play like we did against Reading last night we will have a good chance.”
