Peterborough United have today (March 10) awarded professional contracts to four of their current under 18 squad.
Attacking players Harry Anderson, Jonny Edwards, Jack Friend and Tobi Adebayo-Rowling all committed their immediate future to the club this morning.
Head of Academy coaching and acting under 18s manager Kieran Scarff said: “These four players have got a lot of potential and we are excited to watch their progress with us here at Peterborough United.”
Posh chairman Darragh MacAntony added: “Anytime we sign up four lads with this kind of talent is a really good day. What we are doing is protecting our young talent. When you add Dion-Curtis Henry and Leonardo Da-Silva-Lopes, that is six players that we have secured the services of. It is very important because without them being tied down, they can be stolen for next to nothing and we have high hopes for all of these guys.”
Anderson made his Football League debut as a late substitute against Bradford City on February 28. Friend is a local lad from Wisbech.
