Peterborough United’s all-out attacking style was rewarded with a 5-3 League One win over Millwall at the ABAX Stadium today (October 3).
At the heart of the goal bonanza was little winger Jon Taylor who scored twice and played a massive part in a third goal with a shot that hit a post.

Ben Alnwick: Landed badly after clearing a corner and substituted after half an hour 6
Michael Smith: Posh defence was over-run at times and he was beaten at the far post for the second Millwall goal 6
Callum Elder: Gave possession away too often for comfort, but stuck at his task defensively despite often being out-numbered 6
Ricardo Alemieida Santos: For a big bloke he has no presence in either penalty area. Can look good on the ball, but that can’t be his primary job 5
Gaby Zakuani: Struggled to win a header which is unusual for him. Pulled all over the place at times, but this was a back four which was given little protection 5
Michael Bostwick: Immense display in deep midfield role. Worked incredibly hard and covered lots of ground making numerous tackles, often with little support 8
Jon Taylor: Two cracking goals and an assist. Kept pushing Millwall back with driving runs as well. Must be the best display he’s given in a Posh shirt. Very encouraging 9
Marcus Maddison: A bag of tricks all afternoon and kept going even though Millwall’s treatement of him was rough. Playing to a consistently high standard and had a hand in three of the Posh goals 7
Conor Washington: A superbly-taken goal should give him lots of confidence going forward. Worked hard for the team, missed a couple of other opportunities, but played a small partv in Forrester’s goal also 7
Lee Angol: Another predatory finish from a striker who has a happy knack of popping up at the right place at the right time. Started the game in a deeper position, but contributed well enough. Denied a great team goal by a late save. 7
Souleymane Coulibaly: Ran hard for 45 minutes, but substituted at half-time to permit a change of shape 6
Substitutes:
Dion-Curtis Henry: (for Alnwick, 30 mins). Tough game for a debut as had to deal with numerous accurate set-pieces 5
Chris Forrester: (for Coulibaly, 46 mins). Improved the team’s passing. Took his goal well 7
Jack Collison: (for Taylor, 83 mins).
Alex Davey: (not used).
Andrew Fox: (not used)
Harry Anderson: (not used).
