Peterborough United have had a request to take young Hull City striker Greg Luer on loan rebuffed by the Championship club.
Posh made their approach earlier this month according to Hull boss Steve Bruce. Luer (20) has scored two Capital One Cup goals for Hull this season against Accrington Stanley and Rochdale and he’s made two substitute appearances in the Championship.
Bruce said: “Stevenage and Peterborough wanted to take Greg, but with all due respect to those two clubs, we felt it was better for him to stay with us and get used to the tempo and ferocity of our first team training sessions.”
Hull signed Luer from Isthmian League side Burgess Hill last season.
