Peterborough United will face Championship side Charlton Athletic at the ABAX Staium in the second round of the Capital One Cup.

Dave Robertson’s men won through to the second round of the competition following a comfortable 2-0 home victory over Crawley Town on Tuesday evening.

Robertson said:”I am over the moon to get a home draw in the second round of the competition. I am looking forward to welcoming Charlton Athletic to the ABAX but obviously we are focusing on the next league games and in particular Colchester on Saturday.”

Full details of when the tie will take place and ticketing arrangements will be released in due course.

Charlton last visited London Road in pre-season of 2014, drawing 0-0, with the last competitive meeting between the two sides coming in March 2013 and also ending level.

Johnnie Jackson and Danny Haynes found the net as the Addicks cancelled out Danny Swanson’s first-half opener, before Michael Bostwick ensured a share of the spoils.
