Local lad David Norris has been strongly linked with a move to Peterborough United today (February 13).
Sources close to the 33 year-old former city schoolboy claim he was due to have a medical at the ABAX Stadium this morning. Posh are in the market for an experienced midfielder and Norris certainly fits that bill.
Norris has played over 450 professional games, scoring 61 goals, since starting his Football League career at Bolton Wanderers in February 2000.
Norris was born in Stamford and attended Jack Hunt School in Peterborough, He used to play in the Peterborough Sunday Morning League for the Lord Westwood pub side.
Norris has also played professional football for Boston, Hull, Plymouth, Ipswich, Portsmouth and Leeds. He made one appearance for Leeds this season in a Capital One Cup tie in August before his contract was ended by mutual consent earlier this month.
