Nathaniel Mendez-Laing is pushing hard for a Peterborough United first-team place.

The winger grabbed a hat-trick as the Posh Development team beat Thresham College 4-0 in a friendly today (September 17).

Gaby Zakuani scored the other goal for a strong Posh team which included a triallist defender.

Posh will drop down from second to third place in League One tonight if Wolves pick up a point in their re-scheduled fixture at home to Walsall tonight.

Leaders Leyton Orient seek a seventh straight win at home to bottom club Notts County.

Posh are next in League One action when unbeaten local rivals MK Dons visit London Road on Saturday (September 21). Fans are reminded to get their tickets in advance as prices go up by £3 on matchday.

Posh are also now selling tickets for the Capital One Cup tie at Sunderland (Tuesday, September 24) and for the League One matches at Rotherham (Saturday, September 28) and Port Vale (Saturday, October 12).

Sunderland tickets cost just £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.

Advance ticket prices for Rotherham range from £5 (under 13s) to £20 (adults), but there is an increase on the day of the match.

Under 12s can get in free at Port Vale. Adult prices are £22, but there are many family offers available.
