Peterborough United host Colchester United on Saturday (August 15) at the ABAX Stadium in the first home League One fixture of the season.
Mick George Ltd, shirt sponsors to the club, are particularly excited as the new season launches and are looking to make the first home match a truly memorable one.
The company has been busy in the close season, working hard to add further value to the current matchday entertainment on offer to the club’s fantastic supporters, both young and old.
Jon Stump, Finance Director of Mick George, said: “Last season we were encouraged by the reception received by our ‘Mick the Skip’ mascot and the half-time ‘Chip in the Skip’ Challenge.
Both were an ever-present last season and it’s something we are looking to replicate and develop this year.
“The half-time ‘Skip Challenge’ has been evolved to incorporate our brand new wheelie bin service and will see prizes issued for those successful in chipping into the skip as well as for those closest to one of the Mick George wheelie bins.”
The fixture will see the launch of the new look ‘Skip Challenge’, where Mick George Ltd are providing four lucky Peterborough United supporters with the opportunity to win a free season ticket for the 2015/2016 season and their weight in chocolate, courtesy of shorts sponsors Snaxgroup.
You can register to participate in this weekend’s ‘Skip Challenge’ at www.mickgeorgeskips.co.uk/news/pufc-chip-in-a-skip/.
Stump continued: “The first home league game always creates a special buzz around the stadium and we’re hoping to add to that upbeat atmosphere with a few extra surprises.”
The Mick George Cheerleaders will be in attendance and will be performing a new routine pre-match and at half-time.
Mick George Ltd in association with back-of-the-shirt sponsor Princebuild Ltd will be giving away FREE limited edition t-shirts to supporters which contain the club and sponsors’ logos plus a complete list of fixtures for the 2015/2016 season.
To receive your free t-hirt, track down one of the Mick George Cheerleaders around the stadium and have a ‘selfie’ with them before the game.
