Tomorrow’s (July 25) Peterborough United starting line-up may offer big clues as to who will be involved in the League One opener at Rochdale on August 8.

Big guns Michael Bostwick, Jon Taylor, Marcus Maddison, Conor Washington and Joe Gormley were all rested for Tuesday’s (July 21) 2-1 at Barnet, but all are expected to play most of the friendly with Championship side Ipswich at the ABAX Stadium (3pm kick-off).

Midfielder Jack Collison is also expected to play at least half-a-game as he steps up his fitness work. Collison, who was on the books of Ipswich, but failed to make a first-tean appearance last season, has made two appearances for Posh so far this summer of five minutes and 35 minutes.

Central defender Jack Baldwin and midfielder Harry Beautyman are the only two definite injury absentees tomorrow.

Posh have won four and drawn one of their five friendlies this season.

Posh manager Dave Robertson said: “Ipswich will provide a really good test for us,They are a strong Championship side and are ideal opponents at this time in pre-season. We have done well in pre-season so far both performance-wise and results-wise and we want that to continue.’

It’s £10 admission for adults and £5 for juniors under 18 tomorrow if tickets are purchased today (January 24). The prices rise by £5 on match day.

The London Road terrace will be shut tomorrow so the club can carry out essential electrical work.
