POSH PRICES: '˜Normal' admission prices for FA Cup replay not good enough for some Peterborough United fans

Peterborough United's decision to charge normal matchday admission prices for the fourth round FA Cup draw replay wih West Brom has provoked a mixed reaction from the club's fans.

It will cost the same to watch the Premier League Baggies as it would to watch League One opponents in the tie at the ABAX Stadium on Wednesday, February 10.

But that’s not good enough for some fans who paid just £10 to watch yesterday’s (January 30) thrilling 2-2 draw between the sides.

Posh took almost 4,000 supporters to the Hawthorns.

“So West Brom make a great gesture by going £10 a head (admittedly to fill the ground), but Posh don’t do likewise,” from @Seat114 was a typical comment posted on social media site Twitter.

As was: “I love this club and pay a fortune, but £23 is a complete mickey take, this is a bad move,” from @jozefthemad.

But @mll7 posted the alternative view. He said: “Real Posh fans like me who pay that every home game to watch some awful teams will see this as good value.”

And he was backed up by @simon_81 who posted: “It would have been £18/£23 to get in next Tuesday anyway if it was Oldham. I don’t get what the problem is?!”
