Centre-back Michael Bostwick is a defnite absentee as he starts a two-game suspension after reaching 10 cautions for the season in Saturday’s (February 20) 4-0 drubbing at Bradford City.

And he could be joined on the sidelines by striker Lee Angol, midfielder Chris Forrester, on-loan left-back Harry Toffolo and central defender Gaby Zakuani, all of whom are nursing knocks.

Forrester and Toffolo limped out of the Millwall game after being on the end of robust challenges. Angol was due to play the New Dean, but pulled out of the game in the morning because of a muscle strain.

“Any team would miss a player of Lee Angol’s ability,” Posh boss Graham Westley stated. “We have a very high win percentage when he starts a game, but he picked up an injury in training on Friday and decided on Saturday morning that he wouldn’t be fit.

“Chris Forrester was with the doctor straight after the Millwall game. He was on the end of a bad tackle and it’s an impact injury we are assessing.”

Posh have slipped eight points off the play-off pace following back-to-back heavy defeats so they need six points from home games against Oldham toomorrow and SWindon on Saturday to get back in touch with the promotion contenders.

It won’t be easy though as Posh have scored just two goals in their last six League One matches and they will be facing an Oldham side who came from behind to secure an excellent 2-1 win at home to Gillingham on Saturday.

That was just a fifth win in 30 League One matches, but they have proven hard to beat away from home. Oldham have lost just twice in 15 matches (10 draws) on their travels.
