PLAYER VERDICTS: Jack's defensive work was as important as the genius attacking
Baldwin defended superbly as Posh kept a clean sheet for the second League One match in a row.
Luke McGee: Saw many shots at his goal well blocked by his central defenders, but when he was called into action he handled the ball well 6.5

Hide AdMichael Smith: His crossing, even when given all the time in the world, was a disappointment, but his defensive work was reliable and strong 6
Jerome Binnom-Williams: The left-back looks a decent player when he’s positive and prepared to run at opponents. He’s quick and strong and he was solid here until departing soon after the first-goal. Forced a fine save at 0-0 with a powerful strike 6.5
Jack Baldwin: The best player on the pitch in the first-half when his positional sense was excellent, his willingness to throw himself into challenges was inspiring, and the timing of his tackles was spot on. Distributed the ball well and won headers. A fine performance which shouldn’t be overlooked because of Maddison’s late brilliance 8.5
Michael Bostwick: Caught in possession once in the first-half which caused his team a problem, but he also made one early goal-saving block before settling down to play in a commanding fashion 7.5

Hide AdAnthony Grant: He’s one cool customer. His long-range passing is erratic, but he offers control at the base of a midfield diamond. He defended well when he had to 6.5
Chris Forrester: The captain continues to struggle to adapt to a midfield role away from the base of a diamond. Some good moments, but some indifferent moments also. Posh improved when he went off and the formation altered 5.5
Leo Da Silva Lopes: An energetic, busy display which featured a couple of striking long passes in the first-half. Offered decent attacking support for the most part 6.5
Marcus Maddison: To be honest he was below average until deployed entirely in a wide position, but the quality of his goal-assist and his goal decided the match and demanded a decent mark 8

Hide AdTom Nichols: One good piece of link up play with Maddison in the first-half apart, this was another game when the top scorer had little impact. Substituted on the hour mark 5
Junior Morias: One can only admire his energy, fight and commitment. He has nuisance value and if he can add quality and vision to his game he might yet become the latest star recruit from non-league 5.5
