PFA SENIOR CUP: Holders take on the unbeaten Premier Division leaders

The Peterborough Premier Division title rivals met at the same venue in a league game before Christmas when Harrox cruised to a 2-0 win.

Harrox remain unbeaten in the top flight -they’ve won 16 of their 17 matches. They are six points ahead of Whittlesey.

But Whittlesey are the holders of this cup and they are desperate to record back-to-back wins.

“I have full respect for what Moulton Harrox have done this season,” Lodge stated. “They are a good side, a good set of lads and thet have a manager I like very much.

“But we weren’t ourselves in that league game. Moulton deserved to win, but I picked up a couple of things that makes me think we can beat them this time.

“It will be a different Whittlesey side this time and I’m confident we can come out on top.

“We enjoyed winning the cup, we’ve enjoyed being the cup holders and there is no way we will give that up lightly.”

ICA Sports are already into the semi-finals of the PFA Cup after thumping Baston 6-0 last weekend. Valdas Macianskis scored twice.

Pinchbeck United host Langtoft United in all Premier Division tie tomorrow when Division One teams Stamford Lions and Warboys Town also clash.
