Items donated by former England and Chelsea star John Terry helped raise £7,645 in a fund-raising auction for the Bobby Copping Foundation.

Terry gave a Chelsea watch, several old Chelsea shirts, including a unique youth team shirt, and some match boots from his international appearances to the auction.

Other auction lots included shirts from Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal), plus goalkeeping gloves from Bernd Leno (Arsenal).

Posh defender Copping was forced to retire from professional football on medical advice last month aged just 19. He promptly set up a foundation to help provide unique mental health support to players, families and staff within elite sport.
