A word of caution though as Lincoln manager Michael Appelton and one of his coaching team missed the game at Plough Lane today as they were self-isolating.

Grant McCann’s Hull City moved into second place ahead of inactive Portsmouth by beating promotion rivals Charlton Athletic 2-0 at the KC Stadium.

A point would have moved the Londoners above Posh who instead reamin in fifth place. They have held that position despite their last four scheduled matches being postponed!

Local rivals Northampton Town did Posh a favour by holding Sunderland to a 0-0 draw at Sixfields. Sunderland are now three points behind Posh from the same number of matches.
