Peterborough United will play at home after being drawn away in the Papa John’s Trophy

Peterborough United received the perfect Papa John’s Trophy draw today (November 20).

Posh were drawn away to West Ham Under 21s, but the Premier League club exercised their right to play the tie away from home.

Posh were condemned to an away game after finishing second in their group to Cambridge United, but the draw fell kindly for a team about to set out on a run of nine games in 28 days.

The tie will take place at the Weston Homes Stadium on week commencing Monday, December 7. Posh are at Portsmouth for a League One fixture on December 5.

Southern draw: AFC Wimbledon v Arsenal Under 21s, MK Dons v Norwich Under 21s, Posh v West Ham Under 21s, Oxford v Forest Green Rovers, Cambridge United v Gillingham, Exeter v Northampton, Cheltenham v Portsmouth, Orient v Bristol Rovers.

Northern draw: Hull v Crewe, Accrington v Man Utd U21s, Man City U21s v Tranmere, Oldham v Sunderland, Shrewsbury v Lincoln, Salford v Leicester U21s, Fleetwood v Blackpool, Port Vale v Wolves U21s.
