Peterborough United were so bad as they slipped to an FA Cup defeat to non-league Chorley a new ‘simply dreadful’ rating has been introduced by the Peterborough Telegraph!

Peterborough United players were collectively appalling as they slipped to a shock FA Cup defeat against an outstanding Chorley side today (November 28) - and that was the description of shellshocked manager Darren Ferguson.

The Peterborough Telegraph is not disagreeing. Goalkeeper Christy Pym, who saved a penalty, and Jack Taylor, who supplied a fine early finish, provided the only Posh highlights as they were comprehensively outplayed by a team 89 places below them in the football ladder.

Posh were so poor, a new 3/10 rating has been introduced for the day and we’ve included a manager rating for the first time.

Ratings key: 10-Perfect, 9-Outstanding, 8-Very good, 7-Good, 6-Okay, 5-Poor, 4-Very poor, 3-Simply dreadful.
