Peterborough United’s teenage defensive star Ronnie Edwards is likely to miss Saturday’s (January 9) League One game at Lincoln City.

Edwards is due to return to the club following a 10-day period of self isolation tomorrow (Thursday), but is unlikely to be considered for action at Sincil Bank.

Edwards was man of the match on his Football League debut at MK Dons on December 1, the last game Posh played before suffering a run of Covid-related postponements which were unrelated to the 17 year-old’s absence.

Nathan Thompson, who missed the MK match because of suspension, is expected to replace Edwards at the heart of the Posh defence.
