Peterborough United skipper says ‘bring it on!’ as team set their sights on a September 12 start date

Beevers is relieved the players finally saw Saturday. September 12 confirmed as the start date for the 2020-21 campaign.

“It was massive to finally get that start date,” Beevers stated during a break in pre-season training. “It gives us something to work towards, something to aim for.

“It’s still a bit too far away for my liking, but it’s a massive positive to be able to be able to countdown towards the season.

“We’re slowly getting back to something like normality and it looks like the lads are in great shape.

“It would have been easy in lockdown to slide into a habit of not doing much, but it looks everyone followed the programmes we were given by the club.”
