Peterborough United sell midfielder to Plymouth Argyle
Peterborough United have sold midfielder George Cooper to Plymouth Argyle for an undisclosed fee.
The 23 year-old, who has signed a three-year contract, spent most of last season on loan at Home Park, helping them to promotion from League Two.
Posh signed Cooper from Crewe for £300k in January, 2018, but he only started 16 games for Posh, scoring five goals. It’s unlikely Posh have recouped their outlay on a player who was left out of the club’s ‘salary cap squad’ for the 2020-21 season.
